At Kmart Australia, are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to be a part of our Stores & Digital Technology Leadership team. As our Senior Operations Manager, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of our critical systems, ensuring minimal impact on our business, and enhancing our overall performance. You'll provide strategic insights and recommendations to our General Manager and senior stakeholders, focusing on enhancing operational resilience.
What you will be doing
• Provide strategic observations and recommendations to uplift operational excellence.
• Identify, pursue, and implement improvements to reduce and prevent incidents, improving recovery times and detection.
• Provide Leadership during incidents, including root cause remediation.
• Lead our Stores & Digital team's preparation for Peak Trade.
• Define and manage service level agreements for platforms and associated services.
• Monitor, manage, and ensure services meet agreed-upon levels.
• Assist with vendor management for key technology partners.
• Monitor the likely impacts of new capabilities on operational resilience.
• Manage platform technology risks, such as end-of-life, capacity management, and vulnerability management.
• Working with the Leadership team and General Manager to define where the greatest opportunities exist.
To be successful in this role you will have the following
• A curiosity for identifying opportunities for operational improvements. A problem-solving mindset and excellent critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated contributions to the development and maintenance of Technology solutions.
• The ability to understand complex technology problems AND synergise observations for an executive level audience.
• A history of effectively managing relevant third-party providers.
• Prior experience in developing, maintaining, and executing technology road maps.
• The ability to help create and execute an IT operations strategy.
• Experience in providing technical support to application teams and business customers.
• Proficiency in effective reporting, risk management, and issue resolution.
• A background in being the escalation point for major production issues.
