Our focus is to provide high quality workmanship, great value for money, and first-rate, personal service for our customers. We manufacture a range of trailers South Australia can be proud of, all built from steel made in Australia right here in our Adelaide trailer centre at Pooraka.
We don't import our trailers in pieces from overseas and then just bolt them together; instead, we rely on Australian made materials and our in-house team of experienced draftsman, welders, and assemblers to manufacture our increasingly wide range.
The Role
The Operations Manager is a critical part of the Basic Trailers executive leadership team. Reporting to the Director and General Manager, he or she is responsible for effectively managing operational performance, OH&S, human resources whilst ensuring a profitable, sustainable business model is in place with strategic and operational plan to support both delivery and growth.
About You
Basic Trailers are seeking an enthusiastic, suitably qualified, and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will not only have excellent communication and interpersonal skills but will have substantial experience in operational management, continuous process improvement, successful execution of major business changes, along with the proven ability to successfully lead a team.
Key Selection Criteria
- We are looking for an individual with senior leadership experience obtained in operational, finance/commercial capacity within a manufacturing, contracting, operations, or construction environment.
- Proven ability to successfully identify and implement significant continuous improvement initiatives across processes within customer service, retail, and/or workshop/logistic environments.
- You will be able to demonstrate experience in tactical delivery, business management, strategy, and growth development.
- Demonstrated achievements in cost management, team leadership, quality, and process improvement.
- Possess a high EQ with significant experience as an inspirational people leader, with the ability to adapt your style to get the best out of your team.
- Experience in successfully planning and executing major business changes.
- Desire to self-improve and ability to acknowledge and learn from mistakes.
