Start your new career as an Operator at our Denmark Depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining water supply and water treatment plants in the Great Southern Region. This role requires taking ownership and responsibility, while working with a larger team for support. - $92k + 11% super remuneration. In addition, Water Corporation make a 2% super contribution when you elect to salary sacrifice 2% of your salary to super
- Location and air con allowance
- Annual leave loading of 17.5%
- Option to work on a 9 days fortnight roster
- 2 days paid leave for mental health and wellbeing plus an additional leave day on the 24th of December
- Access your Long Service leave pro-rata after 3 years of continuous service
What you’ll do
- Operate, maintain, coordinate, and manage effective operation, maintenance and repairs to water and treatment plant assets
- Participate in safe job planning, team meetings and inspections
- Carry out operations and maintenance tasks using specialist tools, plant and equipment supplied for such activity
- Work with other parties including contractors and other utilities in the delivery of operations and maintenance requirements
- Records and documents information relevant to the scheduled work in an accurate and timely manner, including use of forms, computers and other devices as required.
- Ensuring that all work is undertaken with safety as the priority in the provision of a work environment where no injury is considered acceptable, and all activities are undertaken without compromising health and safety.
Key skills and experience
- Cert III in National Water package or progress towards
- Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence (HR Licence would be advantageous)
- Excellent customer service and time management skills
