A great opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Payroll and Compensation Manager to join a reputable global commodities organisation based in Abbotsford.
The Role

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this position will be fully responsible for all Payroll and financial reporting activities for the business and their entities. You will be an expert with data, analysis and reporting as well as provide advice on employee compensation and benefits.
This role will be challenging with Lots of variety to keep things interesting!
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide leadership and manage a small finance team
- Oversee and support payroll management using Preceda software
- Coordinate day-to-day financial functions of the HR and payroll team
- Remuneration and benefits
- Excel mapping
- Budget formation and forecasting
- Maintain head count and employment costs
- Prepare various monthly/ yearly payroll reports
- Interpret awards and legislation's in accordance to contractors and permanent staff
- Manage superannuation payments and payroll tax payments
- Foreign exchange and bonus schemes
- Attend and present at monthly and weekly internal meetings, where required
- Provide HR advice to staff where required
What are we looking for?
- Proven senior experience in an accounting, payroll analyst and financial reporting positions for multiple entities
- Knowledge of awards and employment agreements
- Solid experience in payroll functions including exposure to superannuation regulation and payments, work cover and bonus schemes
- MUST have extensive knowledge of Preceda
- Experience with EmpLive, Workday and ADP payroll/HR systems - desirable but not essential
