The Role
Reporting to the Group Payroll Manager and working as part of a payroll team of 4, you will be responsible for:
- Processing end to end fortnightly payrolls for Australia and New Zealand
- Preparing end-of-month and end-of-year payroll activities, including superannuation and payroll tax lodgment, period-end company, and intercompany payroll journals, leave provision journals, and payroll reconciliation.
- Producing reports across departments, such as headcounts, employee retention, and labor cost reports.
- Maintaining payroll and T&A systems, including regular liaison with software supplier
- Assisting Payroll Officers with maintaining employee records, data entry for starters, leavers, and other employee changes.
- Contributing towards continuous improvement initiative
Your Profile
- Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a Senior Payroll position.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, journals, payroll reporting and analysis.
- Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively either as an individual or a member of a team.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, good organisational and time management skills.
- Sound understanding of payroll legislation and process.
