Senior Payroll Practitioner

This role requires you to ensure that employees are paid correctly and on time while delivering exceptional customer service. You will be part of a dynamic and diverse team who are committed to providing high quality payroll services to employees of Victoria Police.

Your duties will include:
* Processing and delegating payroll transactions accurately and in a timely manner
* Ensuring payroll reports and data are analysed, interpreted and acted upon to ensure accuracy
* Leading and participating in assigned payroll and leave processing enquiries and related projects ensuring prompt response and resolution
* In consultation with the Assistant Payroll Manager, monitor workloads and team performance to ensure balance and achieve optimum individual and team results
As the successful applicant, you will have:
* Demonstrated payroll experience
* Excellent customer service skills
* Well-developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
* Developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve payroll matters effectively
Requirements and relevant information:
* One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
* This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
* Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
* The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
