About the Opportunity
As the Senior People & Capability (P&C) Advisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the workforce strategy for Serco’s health contracts in addition to Facilities Management and BPO where required. We’re looking for a proactive Human Resources (HR) professional who can partner effectively with key stakeholders and support the bid team in securing and establishing new health opportunities. Reporting directly to the Director of P&C, you’ll act as a trusted advisor on all matters related to performance management, employee relations, talent management, and cultural engagement.
What you’ll be doing
- Working closely with the bid team to assess new health opportunities, focusing on workforce composition, industrial relations, and competitive market pay rates
- Providing support and guidance on people matters to senior stakeholders, considering the impact of change and how to best manage transitions within the organisation
- Leading the development and implementation of comprehensive HR initiatives, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and development programs, as well as reward and recognition frameworks
- Ensuring effective collaboration between various internal departments such as payroll, ER, IT, and business architecture teams to set up new contracts smoothly and compliantly
- Facilitating communication and programs across different health contracts to leverage existing initiatives and identify redeployment opportunities within Serco
About you
You’re a drive and resourceful HR professional passionate about making a tangible impact within the healthcare sector. With strong interpersonal skills, you are capable of forging robust relationships across all organisational levels and with external stakeholders. You are adept at managing multiple priorities, thrive in a dynamic environment, and are committed to fostering an inclusive and engaging work environment.
Your ideal skills & experience
- Must be an Australian Citizen to obtain relevant checks and permits
- Significant experience as a business partner, preferably in an outsourcing or healthcare environment, with a proven track record of supporting complex business requirements
- Comprehensive generalist experience, including hands-on involvement in rolling out end-to-end HR initiatives and managing change
- Strong grasp of Employment and Industrial Relations, with the ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments effectively
- Skilled in HR systems such as SAP, with intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and influence outcomes through effective stakeholder engagement and strategic advice
