Senior Personal Injury Claims Specialist (Sensitive Claims)

Use your legal / liability experience to manage a portfolio of complex sensitive Personal Injury Claims within an Insurer setting.

Haylo People is a specialist recruitment agency supporting the Personal Injury and Insurance industry. We are exclusively partnered with a Specialist Insurer to join their specialist claims team.
This is a full-time role that can be worked from anywhere in Australia or from one of their regional offices working 1 day a week in the office.
Join a small insurer and work closely with a team of legally qualified professionals. The portfolio is a mixture of sensitive historic and new claims nationally. You will use your extensive experience within this space to support the claims process and manage the claims including, mediation, facilitation, and negotiations.
The Role:

• Process and manage professional standards claims from lodgement to finalisation within the financial authority level.
• Provide specialist technical advice and support to internal and external clients.
• Providing timely, clear, and concise written and verbal communications to clients including updates on claim strategy
• Provide advice on policy construction, interpretation, and insurance coverage.
• Represent the insurer and client at mediations/conferences and facilitations and negotiations.
• Engage and provide specific instructions to solicitors, investigators, and barristers within the financial authority level

Your Background:

• Legal qualification with demonstrated experience in defendant Personal Injury insurance litigation - highly regarded.
• Large loss, complex indemnity claims experience or a Personal Injury legal background.
• Established knowledge and experience in end-to-end public liability insurance claims management.
• Expertise in managing and servicing a niche claims portfolio.
• Proven skills in client relationship management.
