About the Role

Due to the recent award of the Collie Battery Energy Storage System (CBESS) Project, we are looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join our team either on site in Collie on a 10/4 DIDO roster, or in our Perth based Head Office on a Full-Time project term basis. Reporting to the Project Manageryou be responsible for the timely development of project schedules, manning data and construction programmes as well as assisting the Project team to proactively meet contractual obligations.
  
In addition, some of your key tasks will include:
  • The creation of schedule WBS in consultation with Construction team.
  • Develop and revise the baseline construction programme in the form of a critical path method time scaled network using Primavera P6, with all constraints, milestones, activity relationships, dependencies and float clearly shown.
  • Maintain the contract schedule of works identifying undesirable trends in productivity and opportunities for optimisation of the works.
  • Ensure project and tender schedules are fully aligned with estimate original budget hours and InEight original budget hours.
  • Drive four-week look ahead schedule reviews, on a weekly frequency, with construction team to ensure plans are realistic and achievable.
About You

To be successful in this position you will have at least 5 years’ experience in a Senior Planning role within the construction industry, and hold tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering, or another related field. You will be highly proficient in the use of P6 with strong knowledge of planning practices, standards, systems and processes as well as being able to demonstrate your excellent communication and influencing skills and high-level attention to detail and compliance.
  
You will also be able to demonstrate the following:  
  • Previous experience in cost forecasting and ensuring planned work is within the completion date of the project and the scheduled timing and costs are compatible with the work plan.
  • Understanding and experience in critical pathway analysis.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Well-developed numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a high functioning team.
