About the Role
Our Lihir operation is now recruiting for an experienced, tech savvy, motivated and detailed oriented Senior Portfolio Reporting Officer to join the Project Management Office team based at the Milton, Brisbane Hub Office.
Your key accountabilities include:
- Implement a standardised reporting and tracking process for the minor capital works programs and within the portfolio.
- Input, prioritise, improve and maintain projects in the Prioritisation Tool to ensure portfolio project financial performances are on track.
- Provide Power BI and TMI updates to Key Stakeholders on cost elementwise reporting for all projects.
- Check that the projects meet the Prioritisation Tool requirements at the different gate approvals.
- Provide and report on financial and economic analysis to provide strategic decision making on investment plans and post checks to increase project maturity and capability.
- Submit weekly and monthly Executive reports.
- Collaborate with Senior and Department Managers on budgets and forecasts as required.
- Develop flexible and strong reporting processes to ensure data integrity for reports produced and support changes to reporting scales.
- Develop reporting templates and manage the end-to-end reporting processes to support the PMO.
- Facilitate continual improvement initiatives through sharing of lessons learned from previous projects.
Essential criteria
- Extensive experience working in a Senior Reporting Officer role and developing project reporting for a wide range of projects and portfolios.
- Experience working in project teams.
- Experience and working knowledge of TM1, SAP, Power BI and data analytics software.
- Tertiary qualification in IT, Finance, Engineering, Project Management or related discipline.
- Proven experience and ability to identify opportunities to develop solutions to problems and work collaboratively in a team.
- Sound planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines.
Desirable criteria
- Experience working in the mining industry and across each stage of the mining lifecycle.
- Experience leading a team in a diverse cultural environment.
- Previous experience working in a remote location in a developing country is desirable.
