Senior Project Manager (Insurance)

We are assisting one of our strategic customers, a global Insurance company, to fulfill a Senior Project Manager role to manage their business side of the technology Projects and Initiatives.

Role: Senior Project Manager (Insurance)

Client: Tier 1 Insurance Company

Duration:12 months initial contract on daily rate with likely extension.

Daily Rate: $1200 - $1225 per day (Incl of super)

Assignment Start date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

Significant experience in project management across both Technology and Business projects in the general insurance. Insurance domain experience is mandatory

• Plan large, complex projects and business improvement initiatives through consultation with business representatives during the idea generation and framing stages of the project lifecycle to ensure high-level business requirements are gathered.
• Develop detailed project plans in line with the client's project management methodologies, tracking and reporting progress to ensure that the project meets agreed timelines and budgets
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders, establishing strong professional relationships and influencing outcomes.
• Demonstrate proficiency in project and change management methodologies.
• Capability to drive organizational transformation, managing change through effective processes, collaboration, and communication.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with projects, demonstrating a strong understanding of the financial landscape and regulatory environment
• Managing projects using waterfall, agile or hybrid delivery methods as appropriate.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence.

About you:

• Significant experience in a project management role, with an emphasis on managing demand, idea framing and project initiation, in a complex matrixed general insurance (Insurance domain experience is mandatory).
• Experience of leading the delivery of Business side of the technology projects from initiation to successful completion.
• Strong project and change management skills.
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Experience in managing regulatory and compliance projects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with various teams.
