About This Opportunity
The Senior Project Officer is responsible for supporting the coordination and/or administration of end-to-end projects of varying size, scale, and complexity to ensure the successful delivery of project-specific strategic and/or operational outcomes. The role is responsible for a range of activities including supporting project planning, supporting processes to monitor and evaluate the project, coordinating project deliverables and communication activities, facilitating stakeholder engagements, and coordinating the project budget.
The Officer will play a pivotal role in the Teaching Space Computer Replacements project, collaborating with suppliers to procure quotes, audit existing spaces, and coordinate the installation of replacement computers while managing the decommissioning of obsolete ones.
Key responsibilities will include:
Project coordination to support the successful completion of projects, including project planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation utilising project management programs/software and methodologies where appropriate.
Project administration: Coordinating and supporting the development of project-related documentation and other materials including (but not limited to): project plans; scoping documents; evaluation documents; project reporting templates; project updates and other communication materials; post-project reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate accurate communication to diverse stakeholders, exercise diplomacy and judgement in interactions, and ensure stakeholders are informed and able to contribute.
Financial Management: Coordinating aspects of the project budget.
This is a part-time (50%), fixed-term position through to March 2025.
At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $88,099 - $94,512, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $103,076 - $110,579 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.
About You
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and multi-talented Senior Project Officer to support the Teaching Space Computer Replacement Program of Works from its initiation through the full life cycle, to delivery and completion. As the Senior Project Officer, you will coordinate and support a wide range of activities to achieve project outcomes. The role requires a person capable of delivering outcomes within a multi-dimensional, fast-paced, and challenging operational environment. You will have:
A Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience or equivalent experience and/or equivalent education/training.
Demonstrated experience in providing project coordination and/or administrative support, including an understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks.
Excellent time management skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities within tight timeframes.
Advanced written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Experience using Microsoft project or other project management software would be advantageous, or a proven ability to quickly adapt to new project management software.
