The Role
To lead and facilitate the daily operations of staff under general supervision in the delivery of the Ranger Services field activities in accordance with relevant legislation, local laws and Council policies relating to local government law enforcement.
Selection Criteria
Highly Desirable:
- Sound working knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and practices relating to law enforcement, including prosecution and court procedures.
- High level of communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team and to reason with reference to policies, decision, and other matters.
- Demonstrate organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise work and meet expected timeframes.
- Qualifications in TAFE Local Government Municipal Law A and B or ROCS 1 and 2 (Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills) is desirable.
- TAFE CERT lV Local Government (Regulatory Services) and a basic traffic management certificate is desirable.
Essential:
- Current “C” Class Drivers Licence and current national police clearance (not older than 3 months) is essential.
