About the team
The Town’s Ranger Service is responsible for parking and vehicle control, protection of public amenity, pet registration, animal control, and fire risk management throughout the district. It seeks to achieve high standards of compliance with statutory obligations by taking an “education-first”, whilst also promoting well-being, safety and respect in the community.
About the role
The Town is seeking to appoint a full-time Senior Ranger to join our Ranger services team. This position will play a vital role in helping the team to achieve high standards of compliance with statutory obligations and promote well-being, safety and respect in the community.
About you
The successful candidate will have:
- Completion of the Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills (ROCS) Part 1 and Part 2, or equivalent (essential)
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills (essential)
- Current WA “C” class driver’s licence (essential)
- Current National Police Clearance (essential)
- Previous Local Government experience (desirable)
- Possession of a Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) (desirable)
- Completion of First Aid training (desirable)
- Completion of Basic Worksite Traffic Management course (desirable)

Salary and Benefits
This Permanent full-time position attracts a salary of $93,360 - $98,490 per annum plus superannuation.
The Town also offers up to 5% additional superannuation (conditions apply), free parking, ongoing training and professional development, and up to two additional leave days per calendar year.
Working Hours
The position is full-time, 76 hours per fortnight and is based on a ranger roster system excluding weekends.
