Our Finance team is part of our shared services function delivering exceptional customer service across the group.
About the role…
As part of our Finance team and reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Reporting Analyst will play a key role in the delivery of several key finance initiatives, whilst assisting the Finance Manager in providing business partnering support to the insurance business.
This role is currently available due to parental leave within our existing team as well as supporting upcoming key initiatives over the remaining financial year. Whilst this is an initial 6-month contract there could be scope to extend past this term based on performance and capability.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include;
- Financial Reporting uplift objectives
- Embedding capital forecasting model (L1 & L2)
- Balance sheet forecasting across Group and entity level for FY2024 including year-end planning and coordination
- Annual Budget and Business Plan
About you…
You’ve held similar roles within a Finance team and are looking to take the next progressive step in your professional career. You hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business with a finance minor and are CPA/CA certified. Ideally you have extensive experience within the Financial Services sector within General Insurance and had exposure to AASB 17 Insurance Contracts reporting standard.
You are a driven senior finance practitioner, you’re known for your excellent communication, both written and verbal and you’ll lean on these skills to build relationships internally and externally with your key stakeholders to enable effective interactions across all levels of the organisation.
You clearly demonstrate the capability to handle and manage multiple streams of activity simultaneously, showcasing adeptness in prioritising workloads. Moreover, the ability to collaborate with the business to interpret and document business requirements is essential.
You demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and understand both current and future technology environments. Being a good listener and communicator is paramount, coupled with a team-oriented mindset. You actively seek assistance, ask questions without hesitation, and possess a genuine desire to share and acquire knowledge.
To be successful in this role you will need to be;
- Proficient in Microsoft suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Previous experience using Workiva advantageous
- Proficient in excel functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s etc
- Previous experience using Power BI/Tableau advantageous
- Have a broad knowledge of Finance and related terminology
- Experienced with data & process modelling
