Senior Risk Advisor

The role

This Government Department is seeking Risk Advisor to join the team. You will be responsible for undertaking capability and communication activities to support effective planning, risk management, reporting and business continuity activities.

It is a 5 months contract role with possible extensions.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution and review of the risk framework with associated reporting, tools, guidelines and systems
• Provide expert advice on complex issues and support to the department and portfolio entities in relation to risk management
• Support the coordination of strategic and operational risks management across the department including facilitation of risk reviews and workshops
• Development , coordination and delivery of risk training content and programs to further develop risk awareness and capability across the department

Required

• Experience in the application of risk management in the public sector or in a large organisation, including ability to implement new strategic risk register
• Experience performing analysis and generating insights on strategic and operational risk profiles
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
