• Remuneration: Level 7 $106,351 - $115,103 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading

The Security & Traffic Management function of the EM has three core objectives:

• To provide a safe and secure campus environment to enable our campus community to achieve its objectives;
• To protect the people, property and assets from harm, damage and loss by managing risks and developing effective plans and procedures;
• To provide professional advice and guidance to our campus community on security and emergency management matters.

The Senior Security Coordinator is responsible for providing high level practical and efficient support services for the Security & Traffic Directorate.

The role entails providing day to day operational support through project management, highlighting and prioritising tasks, reporting and analytical support, coordinating meetings and activities, documenting plans and processes, monitoring compliance, developing communications, and coordinating internal/external stakeholders meetings. The role will also be champion for ongoing support and coordination of the SafeZone application amongst the campus community, supporting promotional events and safety briefings.

The Senior Security Coordinator reports to the Director Security & Traffic and has no direct reports.

Who You Are:

• Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience within the security, emergency and risk environment.
• Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and guide staff.
• Highly advanced interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• High level of analytical skills and report writing skills.
• Highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to plan, organise and co-ordinate projects and tasks.
• Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to understand and communicate financial information and monitor budgets.
