YOUR ROLE   

As a Senior Specialist, Risk Advisory you’ll help build a stronger, more resilient IAG supporting the Intermediated Insurance Australia division as a second line risk partner.  We provide risk management oversight, challenge, and support to the trading divisions, and in doing so help the organisation achieve one of its key strategic pillars – Manage Our Risks.

Intermediated Insurance Australia (IIA) is a diverse business trading as CGU and WFI and provides peace of mind to business and personal customers who transact with IAG through our intermediary partners.  This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate in providing Line 2 oversight of IIA’s transformational initiative – Commercial Enablement.

You will work across the IIA Portfolio and make a difference by:
•    Acting as the key second-line liaison point for assigned business units with a particular focus on key strategic projects/change initiatives.
•    Providing pragmatic and commercially oriented oversight, insight, and advice to the business on how risks are being managed, including project delivery, and delivered risk. 
•    Provide a holistic transformation risk lens at a portfolio level, working with the divisional transformation office, program and business stakeholders and other key assurance teams such as Group Internal Audit. 
•    Building strong relationships with senior business stakeholders, and clearly communicating observations and recommendations to support effective risk management in a period of increased change activity to support IIA’s ambition and strategic objectives.

This is a permanent role based in Sydney or Melbourne. 

  
ABOUT YOU     

•    Significant post qualification experience in audit or risk roles in the insurance, consulting, or other financial services sectors.
•    Experience working across large complex Change Programs (risk or assurance type role).
•    Proven communication, influencing and relationship management skills.
•    You are highly analytical, curious and thrives in an agile and fast paced environment.
•    The ability to engage broadly and communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders; operates with a collaborative and outcome focused mindset.
•    Undergraduate degree (Postgraduate/master’s degrees desirable) and/or other qualifications Industry qualification/certification e.g. CA, CIA, PMP, Agile or other relevant project risk/assurance qualifications
