We are seeking a Senior System Engineer to join the Qscan Team at our Clayfield Support Office on a Permanent Full-Time basis.
  
As a Senior Systems Engineer for Qscan Group, you will be responsible for making sure that services are seamlessly delivered to both our internal and external stakeholder groups. The core focus of this role will be to implement a high standard of service delivery, reporting to industry benchmarks on responsiveness and resolution while maintaining the customer outcome as the prime driver.

This position reports to the Head of IT Infrastructure and sits within the IT portfolio of the Qscan Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining positive relationships with customers, ensuring that customer outcome is top of mind.
  • Carry out and manage system administration functions utilising the Microsoft product set including but not limited to Windows Operating Environments, Active Directory, Azure, Azure AD, Exchange, Group Policy, Intune, and the Microsoft 365 Suite.
  • Install and maintain Redhat Enterprise Linux Servers in an enterprise environment.
  • Liaise with product vendors and clients on hardware, software and systems to identify and resolve complex infrastructure issues and to identify beneficial changes to the technical infrastructure.
  • Participate in activities to address the root cause of outages and champion implementation of remediation.
  • Assist and participate in projects in relation to infrastructure architecture, design, evaluation, implementation, installation, and upgrades.
  • Adhere to the relevant ITIL standards and procedures that have been developed in the areas of Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management.
  • Perform after hours duties, ensuring any remedial actions are executed to avoid business and/or external customer impact.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call roster.
  • Travel to datacentres, clinics and sites across Australia as needed.
  • Maintain and develop all required infrastructure documentation, including design documents, standards, processes and procedures and document written procedures for dealing with standard requests for support team to follow.
  • Mentor junior team members

About You:
  • Previous experience designing large IT environments including large on-prem and cloud environments
  • Extensive demonstrated technical expertise and experience in Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure, Azure Active Directory, Exchange, Windows operating systems.
  • Experience building and supporting Redhat Enterprise Linux environments.
  • Demonstrated advanced understanding of IT Infrastructure and networks.
  • Advanced virtualization experience with an emphasis on VMware and Azure.
  • Demonstrated experience in Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery.
  • Strong understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite and subnetting.
  • Advanced skills in performance and uptime monitoring.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or equivalent.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Clear, professional and articulate communication
  • Strong problem-solving skills, planning and analytical skills
  • Ability to engage cross-functional teams, maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Desirable:
  • Previous experience in the Medical Imaging industry.
  • Familiarity with the following systems: Inteleviewer/Inteleconnet/RIS/ PACS.
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Experience with Juniper network devices.
  • Previous operating experience within ISO27001
  • Previous experience with ITIL
