How will I help?
As the Senior Technical Lead role, you will develop detailed technical solutions, lead application development teams, provide technical and application expertise, and ensure overall technical solution aligns with architect's solution.
You will be working within the “Cash & Transactional Banking” Technology team, which supports mainframe-based core systems including Trading Bank, Term Deposits and the eco systems supporting these ledgers. We work closely with our Business and AST partners in consultation, project delivery, and run BAU support.
The main role accountabilities and responsibilities will include:
- Mature experienced oversight of the application portfolio
- Collaborate with the architect and solution designer to convert requirements/high level solution design into architecture aligned detailed technical solution design
- Provide application development, maintenance and end-to-end technical expertise
- Lead, drive and guide the development teams through design, build, test and implementation phases
- Technical Governance to ensure solutions comply with domain roadmaps and governance frameworks
- Software changes meet our operational, business and customer needs
- Simplified solutions facilitated, documented and estimated providing feasibility of delivery timelines

Essential:
- Mainframe experience
- Cobol, PLI, IMS, CICS, DB2, JCL
- In-depth technical knowledge.
Desirable
- Financial/Banking experience
- zOS Connect/API
- strong stakeholder management experience
- Partner management
