How will I help?
Westpac is investing in HR Services delivery within ServiceNow. An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Technical Lead with outstanding ServiceNow skills. You can work flexibly while training to upskill on new tools and technologies.
As a Senior Technical Lead within Service Management Platforms, you will be responsible for Solution design, assessment, estimation, and development of HR Employer Centre, HR Service Delivery, Mobile enablement and Chatbot capabilities and features to the ServiceNow platform.
In addition, you will be working within an Agile squad structure. You will collaborate closely with the aligned Product Owner, Business Analyst and Developers to ensure that all designs and configurations are of high quality, aligned with best practice and deliver a great customer outcome.
Your key responsibilities may include:
- Working in agile scrum software development environment contributing to grooming of Jira stories for completeness of requirements & solution artefacts.
- Providing expert process advice, guidance and facilitation to stakeholders and HR practice leads regarding ServiceNow best practice, methodology and platform features.
- Documenting and delivering detailed technical designs, evaluate technical options and providing high level estimations for development of ServiceNow HR related modules.
- Performing development work for complex or critical deliverables.
- Working within the SAFE framework as part of a Release Train.
- Demonstrating technical leadership skills to assist with code reviews as well as providing peer support, guidance, and internal development.
- Coaching and advising Developers both within Westpac as well as supplier resources.

What do I need?
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience with ServiceNow platform, ideally with additional exposure to HR Service Delivery, HR Mobile, Chatbots and Employer Centre modules and be self-driven. In addition to this, your skills may also include:
- Expertise with ServiceNow configuration, customisation, and administration.
- Relevant ServiceNow certifications such as CSA and CAD.
- Proficiency in programming languages, such as C, C++, Java, Python, or .NET is desirable.
- Strong experience with Client Scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, and ACLs including advanced scripting of each, forms workflows, integration hub and custom Service Portal widgets.
- Functional knowledge of other ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Report/ Performance Analytics and Service Catalog/Portal.
Any exposure to HTTP, REST, and API design best practices, event-driven architectures, asynchronous programming concepts and modern web design would be advantageous.
