How will I help?
This Senior Technical Lead role is about delivering support for the Fixed income Business Unit and ability to contribute to the strong global investment in technology and electronic distribution platforms.
The successful candidate will leverage off the Financial Markets technology and run-the-bank capability to support the end-to-end relationships of all Fixed Income stakeholders.
Key role responsibilities include:
- Manage components or assist in the resolution of escalated system issues to ensure issues are resolved in accordance with business needs, timeframes, and SLAs.
- Ensure the consistent use of and adherence to operational policies, standards, tools, and processes, to achieve consistent quality application maintenance, system stability and fulfilment of regulatory obligations
- Work as SME within the technology teams to support changes to meet the demands of the evolving marketplac
- Undertake delivery of support tasks to agreed scope, time, cost and quality.
- Engage with strategic business partners to establish a clearly aligned, customer centric business vision.
- Work with the broader Financial Markets Technology Team to deliver against the broader IT Strategy.
- Ensure the provision of all IT services to the business is continually moving towards best practice with respect to cost, quality and service.
- Build key business and technology engagement and relationships through delivery and quality of communication.
- Understand and drive solutions & deliverables - front to back - for the Business Units being supported.

What do I need?
To be successful in this ION Market view Senior Technical Lead role, you will have the following skills:
- 3-5 years Business experience with at least 3 years in Technology or Operations. Successful candidate must have experience in working in a large, complex organization
- A minimum 3yrs experience of the ION MMI , ION Sysadmin and Electronic trading platforms such as Bloomberg / Yield broker.
- Fixed income Business domain knowledge.
- Understanding of various external execution platforms Bloomberg TOMS , Yield broker, Market Axess, Trade web.
- Proficient competence of business processes such as pricing workflow, trade life cycle.
- Strong understanding of pricing and modules used for valuation & broad understanding of financial markets conditions.
- Extensive hands-on experience on Linux , SQL or Sybase DB technologies.
- Familiarity with various technology applications and tools (jira, ServiceNOW, Confluence etc);
- Advanced analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting and consultative skills
