We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Lead to join a very special team. Westpac has multiple brands within the Group, which has resulted in a varied document composition environment to service these brands. Reporting to the Service Owner, you will help guide the transformation from large scale traditional document composition tooling (CSF) to the latest AWS SaaS Cloud based document composition (SmartComms).
Working closely with the existing Document Composition technology team, you will contribute to the running of the multiple document creations systems, plus aide in the future direction of the document creation landscape within Westpac. As part of your role, you will be working closely with internal technology teams, project teams and business partners on a daily basis. Your role will also require you to be collaborating with key external vendors to support and build on the existing platforms across all phases of the document lifecycle.
Support the existing platforms across all phases of the I.T. lifecycle, improving processes to ensure continuous improvement of technology and business outcomes. Encourage the development of relationships with key senior business and technology stakeholders to provide input during the development of solutions and architectural direction. In addition to offering technology advice and guidance to team members & technology project stakeholders.

What do I need?
Ideally, your experience will come from within the IT Industry and have a heavy focus on the full life cycle of customer facing document composition. From analysis & design, coding & development, testing, implementing and supporting complex documents that are delivered to customers.
Exposure to, or hands on experience working with, document composition software tools such as CSF (Classic or Designer), SmartComms SaaS, Thunderhead, Dialogue etc will be highly regarded.
Your experience may also include:
- Exposure across multiple Architecture domains and hands on experience in delivering a major business solution (application system) into Production within a project team.
- Cloud based / server environments - 10+ years
- Familiarity with standards such as OAuth, SAML or other SSO protocols.
- Understanding of AD and LDAP principles.
- Java, JSON, XML, Bitbucket, Swagger, Splunk.
- Understanding of API gateways and restful API design patterns.
- IBM Mainframe z/OS experience - 10+ years
- Cobol, JCL, DB2, OPC, REXX, Endevour
- Batch and transactional processing
