Healius Pathology is part of Healius' Pathology division, one of Australia's leading providers of private medical laboratory and pathology services. We operate about 100 medical laboratories and 2,000 patient collection centres across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. About the role
We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Processing of specimens including culturing - urines, swabs (various sites), faeces and
- Preparation of smears for gram stain, reading of gram-stained slides
- Microscopy of cells in fluids, urines
- Identification of crystals
- Using analysers for urine microscopy and dipstick chemistry
- Using analyser for occult blood determination
About you
To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
- A Science degree obtained from a recognised Australian institution
- A current full unrestricted driver licence may be required
- Ability to demonstrate sound organisation skills
- Ability to work within a team
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
- Ability to work under pressure
