As a Service Desk Officer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to staff and approved associates across Queensland. This includes responding to inquiries through our IT Service Desk via phone, email, or ticketing system. You will also be involved in the installation, maintenance, and support of desktop and mobile hardware, end-user software applications, and corporate multi-function device printer fleet. Additionally, you will assist in the rollout of new end-user computing solutions to our staff.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide timely technical support via phone calls, in-person visits, or email tickets.
- Conduct remote technical assistance and resolve problems with desktop hardware and software.
- Assist users with inquiries regarding software or hardware operation.
- Configure and install end-user computing solutions and software.
- Update Service Desk ticket status with the aim to resolve 85% of requests on first contact.
- Assist in identifying and diagnosing IT software and systems problems.
- Resolve network connectivity issues within the corporate network and for remote users.
- Manage user account administration for network, application, and system access.
- Document processes and solutions in the knowledge management system.
- Maintain current asset information in the asset management system.
- Escalate unresolved issues to other IT teams as necessary.
Requirements:
- Customer service experience with a focus on professionalism and courtesy.
- Experience installing and configuring desktop software and Microsoft operating systems.
- Familiarity with supporting remote staff, including Citrix platform usage.
- Problem-solving skills for technical and procedural issues.
- Experience managing Microsoft Operating Systems, SCCM, and Exchange server environments.
- Knowledge of supporting hardware and systems, such as Multi-function devices (MFDs).
