Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate the high-quality delivery of in-home attendant care services for people with Acquired Disability.
- Attract, retain and grow a team located in QLD and NSW.
- Ensure services are delivered to clients according to service agreements.
- Champion a positive, can-do approach to all tasks and targets.
- Grow our impact in the community.
Business Development
- Identify and secure suitable new business opportunities.
- Personally attend and promote HCS at suitable events e.g. networking functions, expos, forums and conferences.
Care Service Delivery
- Manage the HSC business and service delivery model to an exceptional standard to ensure the continued, sustainable growth of care services locally, regionally, and nationally.
- Oversee, and where necessary, lead recruitment and onboarding initiatives to ensure staff are skilled and well-equipped to deliver services.
- Provide direction, and educational guidance to the HCS team
- Deliver services to ensure compliance with requirements and parameters of various supplier contracts.
- Coordinate resources with maximum efficiency to ensure effective scheduling of client services within budget, time, and approval constraints.
- Commit to continued business improvement and uphold quality assurance requirements.
- Manage stakeholder expectations regarding delivery standards.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive Management Reporting (weekly, monthly, annual) as required.
- Risk and issues oversight and mitigation as appropriate
- Develop and review business documents as necessary to ensure an effective and efficient service e.g. policy, standards, procedures, systems and guidelines.
Key Selection Criteria
Essential
- Proven successful coordination or management experience in a relevant industry or role.
- Business-savvy with demonstrated ability and commitment to promote service development and business growth
- Demonstrated capacity to positively lead, people and programs
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant funding programs e.g. NDIS, iCare, NIISQ
- Aptitude for numbers and maximising resources, resulting in smart human resource deployment and the achievement of targets and budgets
- Demonstrated knowledge and participation in Quality Improvement activities and the accreditation process.
- Commitment and proven ability to support the growth and development of people of all abilities and backgrounds.
Desirable
- Given our focus on Catastrophic Injury and Acquired Disability, Registered Nurses do well in this role
- Previous leadership experience within the home-care sector
- Strong working knowledge of the SCHADs Award
Skills & Qualifications
- Hold a relevant Diploma or qualification e.g., Nursing, Management, Business, Psychology, Cert V Individual or Community Support
- Current police check, NDIS worker screening and Working with Children Check
