Position Overview:

As the Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our service department. You will be responsible for managing a team of skilled technicians and service advisors to ensure the highest level of customer service, efficiency, and profitability. The successful candidate will have a strong background in automotive service management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of service advisors, technicians, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and high-performing service department.

Customer Service: Maintain a customer-focused approach, ensuring that all service interactions meet or exceed customer expectations. Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.

Operational Efficiency: Streamline service department processes to maximize efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Implement best practices to optimize workflow and reduce turnaround times.

Quality Control: Oversee the quality of work performed by the service team, ensuring that repairs and maintenance meet manufacturer and industry standards. Implement quality control measures to uphold the dealership's reputation for excellence.

Inventory Management: Manage and monitor the service department's parts and equipment inventory. Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely and accurate replenishment.

Budget Management: Work closely with the dealership's management team to develop and manage the service department budget. Monitor expenses and implement cost-effective measures to achieve financial targets.

Training and Development: Identify training needs for service team members and coordinate training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge. Stay informed about the latest automotive technologies and industry trends.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines. Stay abreast of industry changes and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in automotive service management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive repair processes and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with dealership software and systems.
  • Budgeting and financial management skills.
