About the role
Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, the Payroll & Payroll Generalist is an integral part of the financial team. The role will partner closely with key internal key stakeholders to processing of fortnightly payrolls for staff and compliance with relevant tax legislation. The role will also include supporting the day-to-day administration of people processes and procedures, policy, and recruitment
The successful applicant will have oversight of:
Preparing and managing fortnightly payroll for approximately 100 employees
Preparing payroll reconciliations and PAYG calculations
Month end processes including PAYG, superannuation, child support and payroll tax
Assisting with recruitment, including drafting letter of offer documents, and employment contracts
Facilitating the onboarding process for new hires
Managing exiting processes, including conducting exit interviews
Supporting employee engagement initiatives
Assisting in planning and organising employee events
To be considered the applicant possess:
Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and regulations.
Experience using payroll software systems.
Experience in the construction industry, desirable
Strong knowledge of people policies, procedures, and best practices.
Excellent communication skills & attention to detail
