We are a dedicated Disability Service provider with a strong passion for delivering outcome-focused interventions across a diverse client group who are NDIS participants. The focus is on improving participant functionality, well-being, and community involvement.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Service Manager is primarily responsible for managing the following NDIS funded services for people with a disability:
- SIL, Short- and Medium-Term Accommodation
- Support in people’s homes and community settings
- Allied Health
- Support Coordination
- Client Engagement
This role will provide active support and guidance to staff and clients as well as advocate for the rights of people with a disability to live fulfilling and meaningful lives.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Prioritise competing demands, meet deadlines and achieve targets as per the program's key performance indicators.
- Report directly to the General Manager, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic goals of the organization and providing regular updates on departmental progress.
- Oversee and manage the productivity and allocations of Blue Wing Services
- Co-ordinate the provision of complex care plans according to client needs
- Provide leadership and supervision to Team Leaders and staff across Blue Wing Services
- Develop effective working relationships with External stakeholders across the region including practitioners, other referral and service delivery partners, families and communities.
- Develop, train and support staff to problem-solve with a solution focused approach and contribute to consistent, yet innovative work practices.
- Ensure the program operates in accordance with Quality and Safeguards Commission, NDIS funding and legislative framework.
- Monitor compliance of WHS and Risk management
- As a client-focused service at times you will need to respond out of hours and travel to various sites.
- Actively engage in workplace activities that are designed to improve the work environment and service to clients
- Work within the company culture and policy framework
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in community services
- Experience in the role responsibilities
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Clearance
- Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident
