This government department is currently undergoing a SAP upgrade, expanding the volume of support requests handled by our Shared Services Service Desk. We are seeking a dedicated Service Officer to join our dynamic team and assist employees and external stakeholders with payroll and finance inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide phone support and advice on SAP Finance/payroll matters.
- Promote, support, and guide clients in utilizing self-service options.
- Follow established procedures and log incidents/requests using ServiceNOW.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences by resolving or escalating complex issues promptly.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and knowledge base enhancements.
- Experience in a transactional or support role within HR/Payroll and/or Finance.
- Proven track record in phone support and customer-centric service delivery.
- Strong customer service skills with an empathetic approach to handling complex requests.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
