Form of workThe Project Manager role focuses on overseeing operations for the Tanami Shaft Project. Providing technical and functional leadership to ensure effective project management. This role is responsible for optimizing cost-efficiency, promoting a culture of safety and driving continuous improvement whilst providing a quality service to our clients.
This position is FIFO from any capital city in Australia working 15 days on 13 days off roster rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to established company project framework, engineering and quality standards, customer and regulatory standards
- Strong demonstrated Project Management and Leadership experience with a Safety first approach, ideally within the Shaft sinking or Underground Industry.
- Provide a word-class client experience and ensuring RUC deliver a seamless service to clients that meet project budgets, timings and specification expectations.
- Reporting on, assessing and analysing project performance and taking appropriate action to prevent overruns
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- An innate ability to harness and nurture internal and external stakeholder relationships, and work collaboratively within a complex and diverse environment.
- Sound influencing, negotiation and resilience skills.
- Effective and timely communication to all key stakeholders regarding technical information, resolution of issues and achievement of project milestones
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
Required Experience
- 5 years prior experience in Project Management roles
- High-level understanding of forecasting, budgeting and contract administration.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, environment and customer relationships
- Previous people management and leadership skills, with the ability to adjust work and material requirements to meet schedules and client demands
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees
- Applicants with a Bachelor of Engineering degree will be strongly considered
- WA Manual Driver’s Licence
- Sound knowledge of statutory safety requirements
