THE ROLE
We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and proactive SharePoint and Teams Implementation Specialist on a fixed-term, two-year contract. This role is responsible for enhancing digital collaboration and communication within an organization, streamlining workflows, and ensuring data security and compliance.
Further, this role will create and enforce a set of guidelines and policies to ensure that the usage of SharePoint, Teams and power apps align with the organization's objectives, maintain security, compliance, and best practices, and promote efficient and effective collaboration.
More specifically, you will be involved in the following:
Finance:
- Monitor and optimize data storage costs ensuring that only relevant and legislative requirements documents are stored long term.
- Estimate the financial impact of SharePoint and Teams downtime and track efforts to minimize this cost through effective disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Evaluate the cost of user training and measure its effectiveness in terms of user adoption and proficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document the specific requirements for SharePoint and Teams implementation, including document management, collaboration, and communication needs.
- Develop detailed implementation plans and architectural designs that align with the organization's goals. This includes defining site structures, permissions, and integration points with other systems.
- Provide training and documentation to end-users and administrators on how to effectively use SharePoint and Teams for their daily tasks, fostering adoption and proficiency.
- Implement and enforce security and compliance policies and ensure that sensitive data is protected within SharePoint and Teams.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, customizations, and processes related to SharePoint and Teams to ensure knowledge sharing and disaster recovery preparedness.
- Calculate the percentage of incidents or issues related to SharePoint and Teams that are successfully resolved.
- Track the adoption and satisfaction of end-users with the implemented solutions.
- Measure and report the contribution to and implementation of process improvements that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Measure the active sharing of expertise with colleagues and users through documentation, training, and workshops.
- Evaluate the success of user education programs and materials created by the specialist.
- Stay up to date with the latest features and updates from Microsoft and hold IT stakeholder monthly meetings to share new features and changes and impact on existing processes.
- At least 3-5years of experience in SharePoint development and consulting.
- Good presentation skills and ability.
- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Experience in leading and managing SharePoint, Teams, Viva and Power Platform projects.
- Experience running complex SharePoint migrations.
- Experience automating complex business processes using the Power Platform.
- Effective communicator – visual, written and verbal and stakeholder engagement.
