John Holland, CPB Contractors and Ghella Joint Venture (JCG) has commenced design and construction work for the Sydney Metro West - Eastern Tunnelling Package (ETP).
ETP includes the construction of 3.5-kilometre tunnels under Sydney Harbour between The Bays and the Sydney CBD, and the excavation of Pyrmont and Hunter Street stations. This is the final piece in the puzzle to deliver the city-shaping Sydney Metro West project.

The role
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to be based at our Hunter Street site in the CBD. This role will be focused on tunnel excavation and concrete lining of the tunnel. You provide onSite Engineering services and technical support to ensure short term planning and programming of works is completed in conjunction with the site supervision staff.
Skills and Experience
- Degree qualified Civil Engineer with 2+ years post qualification experience
- Understanding contemporary practices in construction methodology on civil infrastructure projects
- Prior experience tunnel excavation and concrete structures will be highly regarded.
- Confident communicator
- Passion for teamwork and delivering on tight deadlines.
