About the Role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our Utilities & Infrastructure team. This role will be responsible for managing & leading delivery of Suburban Rail Loop substation construction projects on site for Beon Energy Solutions to ensure agreed project deliverables & targets are achieved.

The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent communication, planning, time management and stakeholder management skills, as you will be required to establish and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholder over the course of the project lifecycle. In addition, this person will also have a strong commitment ensuring safety standards and procedures are always adhered to throughout our projects.  

What you’ll deliver:

• Provide effective site leadership and management ensuring that the desired outcomes of the projects are delivered in accordance with customer and project scope
• Ensure the effective utilisation of resources and that all works undertaken are in accordance with regulatory requirements, company practices, processes and standards
• Lead multi-discipline teams of employees and contractors
• Assist in the preparation, evaluation & issue of tenders for construction, major plant and/or materials
• Provide input into the financial management including specific cost control, variation management, accurate month end reporting and project forecasting

To succeed in the role, you’ll have:

• Current trade or tertiary qualification in electrical or building/construction trade 
• Significant experience with Substation Construction
• Detailed knowledge of the construction practices particularly as they relate to the electrical distribution, sub-transmission, transmission and/or infrastructure industry with a working knowledge of technical standards, construction practices and OH&S
• Proven ability to apply construction management principles, preferably in an electrical distribution, sub-transmission, transmission and/or infrastructure environment
• Completion of management, leadership, commercial or similar program is preferred
• A willingness to work on sites away from your base location on a 10/4 roster is an advantage
