Senior Desktop Standard Operating Environment Engineer

The Senior Desktop Standard Operating Environment Engineer describes the function which manages and maintains the Services Australia and shared partner agencies desktop Standard Operating Environments including design, configuration, deployment, technical security and operation ofdesktop related components.
The Senior Desktop Standard Operating Environment Engineer works under the limited direction of senior staff. They exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy, and in the application of practices and procedures.
Decision making is substantially dependent on judgement, skills and knowledge. They manage and organises their own work in the context of competing priorities, RFQ number: RFQDM24-042 6
including contributing to business planning, changes in workplace practices and business improvement strategies.
Primary Technologies

• Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Applications Packager, Rapid 7,Broadcom Data Centre Security Engineer.

Mandatory Criteria
  Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in SOE migrations, projects, and implementation.
 Minimum three plus years experience as a Windows Desktop SOE Engineer in enterprise environments.
 Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager including SCCM, Intune, Active Directory – Group Policy Management, RBAC, AppLocker and WDA.
 Strong Scripting ability (PowerShell, VB Script).
 Experience with facilitating large and enterprise scale software deployments, upgrades, and enhancements of environment wide configurations including user policies, device policies, security policies and automation scripts through enterprise grade endpoint management platforms.
 Experience in VPN technologies and Active Directory – Group Policy Management, RBAC, M365 Security Products (Microsoft Defender).
