Currently seeking an experienced and career driven Sous Chef to join the team and with the foresight that the role coul progress into Head Chef within 6-12 months.
With 5 venues across Sydney and the Gold Coast and an owner who is well regarded in the industry this role is ideal for a strong Sous Chef looking to step up to their first Head Chef role as the current Head Chef is moving into a group role with the company.
The role:
- Assist and manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen with the Head Chef.
- Motivate and drive the team to success on every service. Build on and continue the great culture already in place.
- Responsible for the ordering and stock management of goods coming into the kitchen.
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in an efficient and cost effective manner. You will be responsible for maintaining food cost and monitoring labour cost. Previous experience beneficial.
About you:
- You're a dynamic leader that leads from the front, a strong team player and motivator.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as Sous Chef of a busy venue.
- Sound understanding of kitchen management and business acumen preferred but not essential.
- A clear communicator that can manage multiple task and keep composed under pressure.
- Full working rights within Australia. Sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate.
