The Role:

Are you a content creation powerhouse? A Social Media virtuoso? Commune Group is seeking a part-time Social Media and Content Creator self-starter to join our team! About the team:

You will be part of the Marketing Team, based out of our Head Office in Windsor. Note that a somewhat flexible approach is required, as occasionally you may need to pivot on a campaign outside of your normal working hours. Our team is small but mighty and passionate about leading design. We collaborate closely with the Operations Team and our Venue Managers daily, fostering strong working relationships across all venues. As a team, we love discussing what’s happening around the grounds within the food and restaurant scene, and from time to time, we’re out trying new restaurants and supporting our fellow Hospo friends. We are a team who love sharing examples of the great things other brands are producing, yet we strive to be ahead of the beat. Weekly meetings keep communication open and provide a supportive place to produce great work.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce, shoot, edit and optimise video and photography content for multiple Social Media platforms including: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok
  • Maintain Commune's positive and collaborative digital network (monitoring and interacting with our audience on multiple Social Media platforms)
  • Stay up-to-date with social and industry trends, articles and best practices to ensure our content is always ahead of the crowd
  • Forecast goals, grow engagement and report on Social Media campaign performance. Monitor social campaigns and adjust strategies as needed to optimise results
  • Photography skills: you know your way around an iPhone. You're a bit of a wizard behind the camera and you get a real kick from creating reels and videos using a device
  • Find ways to repurpose existing content to reinvent assets and strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners such as PR, social and digital agencies
  • File management of social content on company Dropbox
  • Ability to meet deadlines amongst competing priorities.
  • The ability to generate fresh, engaging, and original content ideas.


What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in planning and managing a Social Media calendar with with multiple brands, ensuring content is executed on-time
  • You're not afraid of a fast-paced, agile environment; you are the perfect combination of adaptable and organised and has the ability to work autonomously. You're comfortable when the plans get changed - you just want to achieve the best outcome
  • Strong, punchy copywriting skills 
  • A team player with strong communication skills. You're confident in your ability to effectively convey your vision and ideas with others. You have an openness to try new things
  • Someone who isn't afraid to manage communication between teams to ensure your campaigns are delivered on time
  • An individual with a genuine interest and knowledge of design, food, culture and all things social and digital media
  • A serious go-getter with a can-do attitude
     

Beneficial but not essential: 

  • Photography and videography skills (and proficiency in video and photo editing would be highly valued), however not mandatory
  • Experience in Adobe Suite. Particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and InDesign
  • Basic Graphic Design Skills. Know your way around Illustrator or InDesign to create assets for use on socials?
