About the role 

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for the creation, execution, and measurement of organic and paid Social Media activity. Community management and customer service will also be a focus of this role. Reporting to the Social Media Manager, this position is suited to someone with high energy, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. 

Key responsibilities:

• Build, execute, monitor, optimise and measure paid Social Media campaigns based on creative briefs from internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate content calendar across channels, including prioritisation and negotiation with internal stakeholders
• Ability to develop creative assets from a brief as well as edit existing creative assets
• Produce copy for product, promotion and competition posts and campaigns, in the JB tone of voice
• Publish, amplify, and optimise content to drive engagement, including coordination of paid campaigns to maximise reach and effectiveness
• Assist in the development and implementation of Social Media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive traffic to our website, and generate leads.
• Create paid Social Media campaigns, custom audiences, and ads
• Respond to customer enquiries on Social Media channels and dedicated email inbox, and escalate to relevant stakeholders as required
• Coordinate and own Social Media competitions from set-up and execution through to selection of winners and prize delivery
• Coordinate process to identify and respond to Social Media crises including; monitoring, responding, risk mitigation, post-event reporting and stakeholder escalation/engagement
• Provide reporting information to stakeholders
• Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in Social Media, and emerging platforms

About you 

• Tertiary qualification in Communications or Marketing desirable
• At least 3 years of experience in a full-time Social Media role
• Experience managing multiple large budgets and campaigns
• Previous agency or retail experience is advantageous
• Strong proficiency with Meta Business Suite
• Strong understanding of Social Media channels and content types as well as scheduling tools.
• Excellent copywriting and verbal skills
• Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design and video editing programs
• Excellent time management and an eye for detail
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure and be responsive to short lead times
• An understanding of consumer trends and audience behaviour in Social Media
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
