About the role
The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for the creation, execution, and measurement of organic and paid Social Media activity. Community management and customer service will also be a focus of this role. Reporting to the Social Media Manager, this position is suited to someone with high energy, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Build, execute, monitor, optimise and measure paid Social Media campaigns based on creative briefs from internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate content calendar across channels, including prioritisation and negotiation with internal stakeholders
- Ability to develop creative assets from a brief as well as edit existing creative assets
- Produce copy for product, promotion and competition posts and campaigns, in the JB tone of voice
- Publish, amplify, and optimise content to drive engagement, including coordination of paid campaigns to maximise reach and effectiveness
- Assist in the development and implementation of Social Media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive traffic to our website, and generate leads.
- Create paid Social Media campaigns, custom audiences, and ads
- Respond to customer enquiries on Social Media channels and dedicated email inbox, and escalate to relevant stakeholders as required
- Coordinate and own Social Media competitions from set-up and execution through to selection of winners and prize delivery
- Coordinate process to identify and respond to Social Media crises including; monitoring, responding, risk mitigation, post-event reporting and stakeholder escalation/engagement
- Provide reporting information to stakeholders
- Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in Social Media, and emerging platforms
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Communications or Marketing desirable
- At least 3 years of experience in a full-time Social Media role
- Experience managing multiple large budgets and campaigns
- Previous agency or retail experience is advantageous
- Strong proficiency with Meta Business Suite
- Strong understanding of Social Media channels and content types as well as scheduling tools.
- Excellent copywriting and verbal skills
- Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design and video editing programs
- Excellent time management and an eye for detail
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure and be responsive to short lead times
- An understanding of consumer trends and audience behaviour in Social Media
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
