Overview

The Women's & Children's Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia. We are the state's leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA's largest maternity and obstetric service.

Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.

The Opportunity

We currently have exciting opportunities to join the CAMHS team as a Social Worker/ Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist in a Full time or Part time capacity.

As the Social Worker you are responsible for:

  • providing a range of comprehensive specialist forensic assessment and therapy services for children and families referred to Child Protection Services
  • contributing to the development of clinical practice, which promotes optimal delivery of clinical services to clients of the Child Protection Services

As the Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist you are responsible for:

  • providing a range of comprehensive forensic and clinical psychological services to support children who have allegedly been victims of abuse, maltreatment and crime.
  • providing forensic assessments of children, parenting capacity assessments, inpatient services, and psychosocial crisis responses.

About You

To be eligible you must have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in relation to liaison with other professionals, presentation of complex information and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to apply skills in analysing and resolving clinical problems
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high quality clinical reports
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in the field of child protection and/or child mental health
