Solution Architect

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a Queensland government department to recruit a Solution Architect contract to 24/03/2025 based at Fortitude Valley and working from home. Ideally you will have experience with clinical solutions, clinical system implementation and clinical data migration processes, particularly in hospitals.

The purpose of this role is to guide the delivery of digital systems and infrastructure for clinical, corporate and capital works projects within the client by leading the full spectrum of end-to-end Solution Architecture from investment specification, design, development and implementation of the solution. This will include setting and maintaining with the architecture standards and consistency of practices as well as ensuring compliance with broader architecture requirements. This role will require extensive engagement with clinical and business stakeholders of all levels across the organisation and will work collaboratively with internal teams including business analysts, project managers, technical advisors, testing and operational staff to ensure quality outcomes for the customers.

In this role you will:

• Lead and manage the successful delivery of Solution Architecture for complex and high-risk projects through to smaller digital activities. This should include conceptual/logical/physical models, Solution Architectures on a page, solution design, structural interior design and software architecture design documents.
• Provide architectural reviews and expert advice to shape concept briefs, business cases, implementation strategies and solution design specifications for digital projects to ensure that the solutions are consistent with the strategies, architectural standards, principles and roadmaps.
• Develop and maintain technical Solution Architecture designs to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with the policies, frameworks, strategies, architecture and roadmaps.
• Translate business needs for digital solutions into coherent and effective detailed design options aligned with business, functional and non-functional requirements.
• Prepare submissions and facilitate approval of Solution Architecture designs / documentation through digital governance processes and departmental authority units (eg cyber security).
• Lead data integration and data migration strategies for projects, advising on the transition from current to desired future state consulting with data architects to create the metadata design and data structures.

You will have:

• Previous experience and knowledge of clinical solutions, clinical system implementation and clinical data migration processes, particularly in hospitals.
• Experience in ICT infrastructure, Operational Technology, End User Devices and system integration in the context of construction and/or refurbishment projects, particularly hospitals
• Any relevant certification, degree or tertiary qualifications in Information Communication & Technology (ICT),
• Enterprise Architecture (e.g., TOGAF 9) or business-related disciplines.
