About the role

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, trade qualified Sous Chef to join our large kitchen team at our client’s brand new 145 bed Aged Care facility located in Erina, NSW.  

Roster: 

• Sunday to Wednesday from 6:30am to 2:30pm.
• Saturday from 9:30am to 6:00pm.
• Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply. 

*The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine, and provide a current Federal Police Check or NDIS Screening Certificate, or be willing to apply for one*

Key attributes and responsibilities

• Previous Aged Care catering management experience is highly desirable.
• Commercial cookery qualifications necessary.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with proven budget and cost management experience.
• High level of QA, WH&S, HACCP and Food Safety knowledge.
• Previous experience in the design and implementation of nutritionally adequate and appropriate menus specific to Aged Care
• An understanding of the Food Safety Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Empathy towards residents, staff and clients.
• Produce high quality, nutritious and well-presented meals in line with Aged Care food service guidelines.
• Be responsible for rostering and day to day supervision/management of team members.
• Menu design and implementation and computer literacy
• Excellent client and resident liaison skills.
• Have reliable transport.
