As the Sous Chef you will work closely with the venues Head Chef, Along with the guidance of one of Sydney's most renowned names Patrick Friesen, you will be responsible for all elements of the kitchen operation, inducting and training junior chefs and mentoring younger members of the team, guiding them to success.
To be a successful candidate for this role, you will need to have the ability to lead and work in a team, have great technical skills, and experience in modern bistro cuisine with an in-depth understanding of kitchen systems and above all, a passion for service and the restaurant industry.
Alongside the previous, you will also need the following:
- Hold a minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or have relative industry experience
- Previous experience in an A la Carte service
- A dedicated individual looking to propel their career
- Be able to manage any and all kitchen sections - the pass, pans, grill, larder, and fryer
- Previous experience in ordering, stock control and rostering
