The role is Sous Chef, reporting directly to the Executive Chef and Head Chef. It involves a fast-paced environment, managing multiple events, and handling numerous inquiries. You will collaborate closely with internal department heads and cater to VIP clientele. Building and maintaining effective relationships are fundamental aspects of this position. Being highly organised and accountable for your decisions is a must.
You will be a hands-on manager of the Conference and Events, Breakfast, café and room service on a day top day basis. You will meet and where possible exceed customer and guest expectations, enabling the Food & Beverage operation of the hotel to be recognised as purveying consistent, quality and value. Your duty is ensuring food standards, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques meet guidelines and are maintained at that level.
