The Role
We are seeking two highly skilled and experienced chefs to join our small, but dedicated and passionate team.
The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations across our Restaurant, Bar, Club Lounge and Conference and Events, supervising the kitchen staff, and ensuring the quality and consistency of the food served. The ideal candidate should have an innovative and creative mind, excellent leadership skills, and a strong understanding of kitchen operations.
The CDP Breakfast Chef will be the breakfast champion. You will collaborate with the Head Chef to develop the breakfast offering, keeping it fresh and exciting. You will have excellent time managements skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Key responsibilities are:
- Assist the Head Chef including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management
- Adhering to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
- Ensure the quality and consistency of the food served, and make adjustments as necessary to meet customer expectations
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items, and ensure that they are executed to perfection
- Support the Head Chef to manage the kitchen budget, including food and labor costs, and make recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced
About you
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role
- At 2 least 2 years experience in a supervisory role (Sous Chef)
- A degree or diploma in culinary arts or a related field is preferred
- You have the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- A passion for cooking and a strong understanding of culinary techniques and trends
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (Sous Chef)
- Availability to work morning shifts across weekdays, weekends and public holidays (CDP Breakfast Chef)
