Full Time Sous Chef
SALARY $70,000 + SUPERANNUATION
SUMMARY
Welcome to 7 Origins Cafe, we specialise in serving amazing coffee and delicious food daily. Fully licensed cafe. We are looking for a skilled Sous Chef that can contribute to our growing establishment and provide us with enthusiasm and passion to delivering all our dishes.
DUTIES
- Preparing for service, which includes ensuring the kitchen is well stocked with the necessary ingredients, as well as cleaning, cutting and marinating food.
- Cooking, plating and serving food while co-ordinating with other kitchen staffs, junior chefs and wait-staff.
- Hiring and training junior chefs.
- Creating new dishes and planning menus.
- Ordering foods and dry goods and rostering.
- Maintain correct level of fresh, frozen and dried foods in the storeroom.
- Adhere to stock rotation, stocktaking, and minimum wastage guidelines.
- Budgeting and costing ingredients and dishes.
- Ensure hygiene standards are maintained at a sufficiently high level and an approved food safety plan is implemented.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Certificate 3 and Certificate 4 in Commercial Cookery
- Diploma in Hospitality Management Preferred
- At least 2 years' relevant work experience as a Chef
- Experience in Brunch & Breakfast Menu Preferred
- Knowledgeable in Kitchen and Food Safety
