The Position
- Assist and oversee food production and menu-based catering for 40 residents in this modern aged care facility.
- Ensuring all OH&S compliance is achieved, adhere to safe work practices and safe food handling procedures
- Ensure all catering controls are in place and wastage is kept to the minimum
- Lead, mentor and create a positive work culture
- Assist with rostering, ordering, stock control and other administrative duties related to a senior chef posit
The Person
- Cert III in Commercial Cookery
- Experience with cooking healthy and nutritious food in bulk quantities
- Experience in HACCP, food safety and infection control
- Aged care experience preferred / good understanding of IDDSI and the preparation of texture modified meals
- Must be be able to work autonomously
- Saturday and Sunday shifts 7.00am - 3.00pm
