The Doorman System's are the new operators of Melbourne newest hospitality institution. Located in Marvel Stadium this two level venue will feature open fire grills, instagramable interiors & capacity for up to 1000 patrons. You will work alongside industry professionals and design a brand new kitchen and make it your own. The interior of the venue oozes sophistication and therefore attracts like-minded guests, whether it be for a midweek dinner, cocktails after work, or a day out at the footy.

We have a very exciting opportunity for experienced Chefs, Pastry Chefs and Wok chefs in our Iconic Venue on Docklands- Friends of Fire and Amphora showcases a range of New York Diner dishes in a fun, upbeat and energetic restaurant

As a Chef with Doormen Systems you will be reporting to the Head Chef and supported by other senior members of the kitchen brigade. You’ll be responsible for assisting in the effective operation of the Kitchen and working in a team to provide quality and a high level of service to guests while adhering to Kitchen policies and procedures. You’ll display a passion for all things food and show a flair for creating dishes made from local ingredients.
The Ideal Candidates Must Have:
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher
- Proven experience as Pastry Chef, wok chef or relevant role
- At Least two years experience in a similar role
- An open & professional communication style
- Strong understanding of dietaries and how to process them in a high-pressure environment
- An eagerness to learn
- A highly structured and organized approach, managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment
- Organizational and time management skills essential
- Exceptional communication and presentation
- Available and willing to work weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
- Full working rights in Australia
