WHAT DOES A SOUS CHEF DO?

The Fun Stuff

The Sous Chef will effectively manage activities, logistics and fresh produce as well as a dynamic team of talented chefs. You will play a critical part in the successful day to day operations of the home-base kitchen, producing high quality meals across multiple cuisines for our customers.

The Technical Stuff

  • Liaising with head chef on food preparation, ordering, training staff
  • Following food safety procedures, stock rotation, managing wastage/food costs
  • Batch cooking and preparation of multi cuisine foods
  • Coordinate food production schedules and ensure highest level of food quality, taste and production
  • Maintain effective working relationship and support with management and staff alike
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and decision-making
  • Assist in development of new menus and dishes
