Form of workFox Friday is gearing up for our official opening of our Perth Taproom (located in Burswood). Born out of Hobart, Tasmania, we’re a craft brewery known for making hoppy, hazy US-inspired IPA’s and crisp, refreshing pilsners and pales, with more to come with some exciting developments on the horizon.
In developing our New Venue team, we have various full-time opportunities available for experienced, reliable Chefs to join our Kitchen team, including:
- Sous Chef
- Chef de Partie
- Commis Chef
Experience, skills and knowledge
- extensive experience working in food service and kitchen environments, with leadership background essential for our Sous Chef role
- experience working in a high-volume, large-scale casual dining setting is highly desirable
- follow recipes, perform and guide the team on various cooking techniques and exhibit strong knife and prep skills
- confident in the use of commercial cookery equipment and ensuring the team are following safe, efficient processes
- inventory control, including ordering, par levels and prep lists
- respects and promotes WHS practice, including food safety protocols
- team-oriented with a clear, positive, supportive approach to communication
- overall interest, respect and care for creating and producing good-quality, high-standard food experiences
Key responsibilities
- perform all general tasks and work, supporting the team with all aspects of food service and kitchen ops, with our Sous Chef role providing additional leadership and supervision
- prepare food and menu items to a high standard, in line with menu specs
- liaise with and follow Senior Chef guidance and instruction
- liaise with Senior Chefs to coordinate prep lists and ordering
- keep sections and kitchen clean, ensuring a hygienic, efficient workspace
- follow and ensure safe food handling, allergy and hygiene protocols
- positive and respectful approach to work and working with others
- provide input for menu development and continuous improvement
